To satisfy the new demands in Fashion and Merchandising, Melissa Taylor has received training from Columbia College. CHANEL provided her with the hands-on opportunity within Fashion Big Wigs to learn what works under Rick Rowe’s leadership. A wealth of experience emerged for her to strengthen her skills knowledge and abilities in the luxury goods industry.
Her timely participation in events allowed her to contribute to Shop Chicago that Vogue Magazine hosted. Consequently, she assisted in preparing styling models and prepping a range of trunk shows to build up her decision to move to Paris in search of challenging inspirational opportunities. This outstanding experience was what came to be her clothing line, Emalon. Her indisputable taste for authentic luxury and education provided her with her robust foundation for collecting different exquisite fabrics.
Her fabric collection opens with the superb fabrics 4-ply silks and hand woven brocades. This collection, in addition, opens an array of possibilities that assisted her in the discovering and funding for her line. The amount of work forced her to split her working time between Chicago and New York. As a result, she became peerless in styling and organizing closets of countless professionals, and socialites by setting up numerous Pop-UP stores in the pristine SOHO area.
During her return to Chicago for a decisive success, she positioned herself as the manager for a local consignment boutique. From there, she began a new searching to develop her astonishing idea of developing the merging styling and dressing to perfect the shopping experience at its highest level. As her presence was rising into a full-scale fashion outpost, her style has erupted into a full-scale competition to bring down stuffy department stores and clients’ superfluous looks. Her marketing strategy provided her with a competitive advantage to satisfy her clients and to force her competitors to fade away or fight against the ruling fashion elite for the jetsetters: FashionHouse.
